Signage - Laminating -

Signage

Here are few tips and guidelines applied to signage from AustraliaBanners.

Laminating

Standard Practice: A'frame Sandwich Board with signs include a protective thin plastic overlaminate (pvc) that is laminated to the sign faces. This helps for general carrying and use outdoors. The clear is suited for whiteboard markers for a limited time, but is not whiteboard graded. Weather will affect the silicone repelling properties. We suggest that when you want a true 'whiteboard' situation, let us know and we shall use a different graded material.

Laminating is available Low Sheen or Gloss. Gloss is the standard use. Please let us know pre-quote is you prefer a low sheen (matt) lamination.

Storing your banner sign - tip.

We suggest that whilst not in use, that your store your banner sign rolled up neatly, clean all surfaces with cold water and allow to dry before storage. The PVC Vinyl is mould resistant, however, if you only use the banner sign for annual events, please ensure that it is safely packed away from moisture and other damaging elements. Avoid rodent nesting by laying down poisons. (Read Poison Information Instruction on the packet/tub purchased).

Storing your banner sign - tip.

We also suggest that you store your banner for easy reinstallation should your work be installed high up on a building, wall etc. After cleaning for storage, roll up the banner to suit the best way to put the sign back up. E.g. If you need to install the sign from left to right, store right to left so that when maintenance team begins to put up the sign, it is easy and hassle free.

Training your team - tip.

We also make a wide range of 'promotional' signage jobs for customers that send the display or banner or sign to different regions around Australia for Field Days, Exhibitions, Events etc. Suggest that your entire team know and understand that by rolling up the banner the fabric will last longer, look better and will be easier to do. Dont let them squash it into the back of the truck or inside their suitcase. Hey, it's happened!

Adding a track system

Known as Keder tracking or Caravan Track, if you plan to use a banner that slides in, slides out of the aluminum track, it's easy. Just let us know pre-quote so that the minimal added cost is included. Artwork consideration should also be inplace, so just let us know preorder.
