With a few effects, a photo can be made to look period or modern,
futuristic or antiquated. Such an effect like above is made by first
getting your photo and using a program that manipulates photos.
Then, making a path around the edges of lady and removing all the
foreign backing of the shot. Step 2. Adjusting the levels, exposure and by adding a blue tint for 'seventies' look, or an orange cepia overlayer for a antique effect. Another tip when making 'desaturated' effects like this is to be mindful of elements such as teeth. Make sure that smiles, teeth, edges of hair etc are look well presented. The banner here was made for an internal conference that 'dropps' from the ceiling and held up with timber rods inside a sleeve. The finishing was also made for later outdoor use once the conference was finished. |

| Sizes: If you are manipulating photos for signs, use the largest original that you can. Also, when using a digi cam for the originals, make the setting above 180dpi at max mb size. This will give you a great resolution for the final printing. |
