Lots of people telephone us about this banner sign and how to make
it. Start by selecting a font with a mid range weight of stroke (wos).
Then, using your graphics program, use the Contour function to
create an object outline. Don't use Keyline as it wont enlarge well.
Then, using a few filters and color models, create a blurred effect
around the text. The back image is a LP record that was scanned and
it's hue-saturation changed. When making art like this above,
remember to work in larger files so that the commercial output is
1:1 at 150dpi. Controversy Music There are several ways to make this neon glow from a standard font. A, Use the blend tool options in photoshop as normal text. However, this will not increase in size overly. B, It would be better to use the font created in a drawing program such as illustrator or Corel etc, THEN, export as an eps. This will allow you to then use the special blend tools, and increase the size. To do so, you will need to rasterize the font using the title menus. |
