Kangaroo Island Education Centre wanted a way to help the community
education campus grow. They attract visitors and tourists to learn
about the special environment on Kangaroo Island. Kangaroo Island is
off the Adelaide Coast. A great place to visit and very unique. I love banners like this one, the accentuated sunshade on the sand dune with the Parndana bush, sometimes referred to as a black boy because bush fires permanently leave the bush charcoaled, tilting over into the background. This is a very professional design (supplied) and congratulations to the original graphic designer. BTW, if you would like the contact of independent artists etc, let the crew know, we supply work for lots of creative designers and can pass you onto a few. How to supply files for wide format printing? If you notice, our pic separates the bush and sand dune from the background and you can see the factory in the rear. Supply your files in original format UNFLATTENED and this will allow maximum sizing on a sign and you wont have resolution problems. When working with drawing software... always use LAYERS & OBJECTS. Making a shadow The leaves above are made by duplication. The bush is copied then tilted and skewed into position AND it sit under the original. You could also add an effect such as Gaussian blur, gaussian blur 2, or swirl to the shadow. When making a shadow, carefully decide wherein your 'sun-shining' point is. It will make a big difference to the visual beauty. There are more artwork tips here. |
