Waterproof curing time | |||
|
Within 3 hours the inks and vinyl is touch dry and allowed to
'settle' for 24-36 hours. This is a requirement so that when
unrolled, the ink has been exposed to normal air conditions. At the
printing stage, (working roll to roll), the vinyl passes under
blowers and warm air dryers. The air is warm without being hot as
this permits sufficient time for the inks to key. Aqueous Inks used by may 'resoften' under outdoor weather conditions. It would be best to ask that sign company if they can overcome that. Sites that offer cheap sign products that can not assure waterproofing under rain conditions for 10 days should be carefully decided upon. The inks are cheaper and less suitable for waterproof situations in our experience. Some new developments have been made for Aqueous Water Based inks. Check first. All our banners are Solvent orientated and do not suffer this. |
