Printing Terminology - Spooler | |
| Spooler
– Area where data used in printing is held before going to the
printing device. Can be a specific part of a computer’s
random-access memory (RAM) or its hard drive. Queue – Electronic holding area, usually in random-access memory (RAM) or on a hard drive, where data waits before being sent to a printer for output. Synonymous with spooler. Print Queue - Our system of organizing and prioritizing work flows in the print room or art room. The team periodically hold 'mini production meetings' throughout the day to evaluate and assess current work flows for deadlines and customer requirements. |
