	What ! Well recently we made a banner that was hung inside the Melbourne Aquarium for SCA a large paper processing company for a presentation night. The banner was tied to the top overhanging rail and weighted down with fishing sinkers. Awaiting a photo of the night and we'll post it on the galleries. We waited one week for the banner to fully cure. No problems. Sure, it's a large fish tank, but the night was fantastically received.

	Waterproof
	The vinyl is banner proof and so are the inks applied. Made for outdoor uses, a branded ink is used for total outdoor use. Waterproof against rain and wind and driving elements such as light hail. Note, that when printing onto pvc vinyl flexible, inks in the most part key into the raised dyne levels of stock.

		Waterproof curing time
		Within 3 hours the inks and vinyl is touch dry and allowed to 'settle' for 24-36 hours. This is a requirement so that when unrolled, the ink has been exposed to normal air conditions. At the printing stage, (working roll to roll), the vinyl passes under blowers and warm air dryers. The air is warm without being hot as this permits sufficient time for the inks to key. Aqueous Inks used by may 'resoften' under outdoor weather conditions. It would be best to ask that sign company if they can overcome that. Sites that offer cheap sign products that can not assure waterproofing under rain conditions for 10 days should be carefully decided upon. The inks are cheaper and less suitable for waterproof situations in our experience. Some new developments have been made for Aqueous Water Based inks. Check first. All our banners are Solvent orientated and do not suffer this.

	Rain and Hail
	The banners are not suggested to be in the weather when large hail is apparent. The material and ink is strong, however the weight and strength is not designed for projectiles to be hurling at it. We have never had a return due to hail, yet don't recommend leaving out your signs to try.
