Banner Simplicity and Effectiveness raise interest Views 336

  Often it is when simplicity takes over that an outdoor advertising banner sign really take off and raises interest. Here, the large black letters and tel no show that by getting a message across super fast, people will respond.

The font is Helvetica Medium and replaced the original Arial Font script. Helvetica Medium is a better quality font when large. Arial is made for using on a computer's screen and when enlarged, loses some vital design elements such as WOS. (Weight of Stroke), and Curvature of Ascenders and Descenders. By changing to a Helvetica Medium, the lettering is better to read when large.

Staff Favorites - Banner Stand Retractable Views 1394

  What a great image and overall marketing idea. The left and right side is full of happy animals including birds, dogs, lizards, snakes and a frog. The deep blue and contrasting fonts looks impressive and remains easy to comprehend and is a legible font.

By taking imagery and cutting around using a path so that only the foreground (animal) is shown, then layering each animal over each other, the left and right side of the retractable banner stand display sign can express lots of helpful information. Often we say a picture tells a thousand words, by having a montage on animals here, it tells more words than could be expressed with a large line of texts.

The slogan Research Development Innovation really applies to this artstyle and imagery.

Tartan Views 480

  This was a file supplied to us from another graphic artist agency who really knew their stuff. The background concept of tartan in a soft hue appears to be borne from the young ladies shirt and continued within the striking reversed back panels. Each small mini back panel includes a different tartan crossover effect.

This is a great way to market the original photo. Take a small, yet unique section (in this case, the young ladies shirt) and use a graphic design software package to incorporate the theme.

If you look closely, the tan color is also a hued tartan. And further, the banner sign also demonstrates the effectiveness of Primary, Secondary and Tertiary text. The large white letters are a special font that remain unique, the secondary slightly scripted font looks good without overpowering the message and the website name is available as a tertiary text. Well Done to the designer.

And also, the photo of the young lady also shows how a smile and appearance goes a long way. Remember to use photos that point out strengths of your business and plan for professional shots if you have a marketing budget. There are lots of free photos on the web you may be able to use also.

Key and Bold Text outlining Views 820

  Everyone always asks, I want my letters to be bold. The banner sign on this page expounds how lots of bold letters can be used together to create a visual appealing banner sign.

If you study the letter combination for the headline, the actual letter color is light, and the bold outline effect advance the color away from the yellow back.

In addition, the left side letters are a Stymie Font in bold. The kerning (space between each letter) has been closed in. This gives an feeling of being bolder, yet the Stymie Font is legible. Signs like this are common for billboard style designs.

Using the solid black with white font and yellow lime website name also appears to be bolder than it actually is. Well done to the designer, the sign remains high impact and the left multi montage photo stands out with color vibrancy. Great job.

Day Glow Super Bright Views 1305

  This banner sign is the brightest possible polymer makeup and makes for a secular outdoor ad. The color is short term upto 6 months because the light is reflected internally via pigment that fades. It is important to comment on that, because, whilst the day glow banner is bright, it is made for short term promotions outdoor only. There is no true long lasting day glow available. Even the promoted long lasting will eventually fade.

Having said that, the color and impact outweigh the short term nature of the color. Signwriting on this banner is better when the letters are solid. E.g. Black or Dark Blue or Dark Green and Red. Let the back panel do the color work.

It is so hard to walk past the color, lots of people use the day glow sign for super fast sales periods. Take a look.

Another way to imitate a super bright color is to use base colors with a slight blend from light to dark. To do this use a color such as orange and on the left add a tint of yellow. On the right add a tint of red. This will create a printing effect of leading the eye. Old technique but as relevant today as ever.

Using hues and saturations. Saturation can be a way of gaining deeper printing colors. If you know how to navigate your way around a software design package such as Photoshop, try making a back color then adjusting the Hue - Saturation levels and constrasts. Great effects can be made and it is another way to get more color than just using a small pixel color picker.
